NEW TROPICAL DEPRESSION FORMS IN THE EASTERN PACIFIC... NO THREAT TO LAND...
Saturday, October 6, 2012 9AM MDT Tropical Depression 15E has formed some 845 miles southwest of Cabo San Lucas. TD15E is forecast to become Tropical Storm Olivia in the next 48hrs. The system is expected to be short lived, over cooler waters and poses no threat to Baja California Sur.
Tropical Depression 15Eis currently located near 14.0N 118.7W and is moving 280° art 9kts. Central barometric pressure is estimated at 1006Mb and winds are 30kts with gusts to 40krts, making TD15 just short of tropical storm intensity.
TD15E/ Olivia is forecast to move to the west northwest and cross into cooler waters Monday and dissipate quickly.
