AT 9AM FROM THE NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER IN MIAMI
MIRIAM TURNS NORTH-NORTHWESTWARD AND CONTINUES TO WEAKEN...
Wednesday, September 26, 2012 9:59 AM MDT Miriam has diminished to a tropical storm is appears destine to wander into extinction west of the Baja peninsula. Tropical Storm Miriam is currently about 425 miles west-southwest of Cabo San Lucas.
Tropical Storm Miriam is currently located near 20.0N 115.7W and is moving 330°at 05kts. Central barometric pressure is estimated at 992Mb and winds are 55kts with gusts to 65kts, making Miriam a moderate tropical Storm. Tropical storm force winds extend out 90 miles and 12ft seas extend out as much as 210 miles from the storm.
Miriam is now over cooler waters and into drier air and it is just a matter of time before the storm loses integrity and the remains should drift to the northeast and may bring rain to central and northern Baja late this weekend.
Miriam is a dying storm and no further updates will be posted to this page until historical data is available or the status of the storm changes.
