The system is forecast to continue its north by northwest movement and is now believed to make nearly to the US border as a tropical cyclone. TD Georgette is over very warm water of the Sea of Cortez and is picking up moisture and gaining speed, but does not seem to be gathering intensity.

TS Georgette made landfall just before noon on 9/21 near Cabo San Lucas and is proceeded north by northwest up the peninsula. TD Georgette passed north of La Paz around sunset and moved out over the Sea of Cortez.

Forecasts now call for TD Georgette to maintain cyclonic action as it moves over the Sea of Cortez and makes landfall again on the Mexican mainland on the eastern shore of the Sea of Cortez.

Cabo San Lucas had received about 1.52" of rain while the winds remained under 25kts. La Paz received less than 0.13" to 0.15" of rain and winds peaked around 25kts. The barometer bottomed out at 1000Mb at 6PM.
