August 6, 2009 8:40 AM MDT Tropical Storm Enrique continues to fade away as it moves west into the Pacific some 1380 miles west of Cabo San Lucas. TS Enrique is forecast to be just a tropical low by early Friday. Enrique should have no influence on Baja weather.

Tropical Storm Enrique is currently located near 21.3N 127.6W and is moving 300° at 15kts. Central barometric pressure is estimated at 1002Mb and winds are 35kts with gusts to 45kts. Tropical storm force winds extend out as much as 60 miles, Enrique is a large storm. Current forecasts call for TS Enrique to dissipate through the day on Thursday and be nothing but a tropical low by early Friday.

TD7E formed from an area of disturbed weather and a tropical wave some 700 miles south south west of Cabo San Lucas on the afternoon of 08/03/09. TD7E was upgraded to Tropical Storm Enrique at 9PM MDT on 08/03/09.

Since TS Enrique is located well west of the Baja threat window no further information will be posted here until historical data is available.
