09AM MDT 07/02/08 Boris has moved well west of being any influence on Baja Weather. No further updates will be issued on this page although graphics and automated information below will be continually updated by the NHC.

09AM MDT 07/02/08 Hurricane Boris continues to toy with forecasters, once again regaining Category 1 Hurricane status. Boris is no located about 1210 miles WSW of Cabo San Lucas.

Hurricane Boris is located near 16.5N 127.2W and is moving 310° at 08kts. Current central barometric pressure is estimated at 988Mb and winds are 65kts with gusts to 80kts.

Hurricane Boris is currently forecast to continue moving to the west and diminish to tropical storm status later today. As Boris moves over increasingly cooler waters, it is expected to continue to diminish as it turns to the WSW over the next 3-4 days.

Boris has moved signifiantly west of our weather influences and it is unlikely that Boris will affect Baja weather in any significant manner. .
