Central barometric pressure is estimated at 1000mb and winds are 30 to 40kts. The storm is expected to move ashore later today, delivering heavy rains to the Mexican mainland

This storm has traveled more than 850 miles over the last 6 days, having only spent 36hrs as a tropical cyclone. After being absorbed by a large area of thunderstorms west of Manzanillo the storm regained Tropical Depression strength.

Tropical Depression 15E formed some 745 miles southwest of Cabo San Lucas on the evening of October 8 and began moving north. TD15E was upgraded to Tropical Storm Norman some 740 miles SW of Cabo San Lucas on the morning of 10/09. As the storm moved over cooler waters on  and encountered increased upper level winds it began to dissipate. Norman was downgraded to a Tropical Depression on the morning of 10/10, about 630 miles SW of Cabo San Lucas. The remains of TS Norman drifted eastward, just ahead of the remains of TS Olivia.
