Historical Data: Max Winds, 65kts Category 1 Hurricane
Tracking Info

Information on Tropical Storm Isis. (Click on images for most recent release)

04PM MDT 09/10/04 On Sept 8, the National Hurricane Center in Miami upgraded tropical depression 12-E to the ninth names storm of the Eastern Pacific season, Isis. The storm is currently located about 550 miles southwest of Cabo San Lucas at 17.5N 117.1W and is moving 280° at 9kts. Maximum winds are 30 with gust to 40kts. Estimated barometric pressure is 1005mb.

A strong subtropical ridge should force Isis on a westward course. Current forecasts show the storm loosing steam and beginning to dissipate in the next 48 hrs. Forecasters at NHC seemed baffled the storm was degenerating despite favorable conditions for growth.

Isis should not have any significant affect on Baja weather for the forecast period.
