Weather for the Baja California Peninsula
Baja Weather Synopsis
Saturday, May 25, 2013 4:18 PM MDT There are three Lows moving across the southeastern most portion of our map that all have a low chance of cyclonic development over the next 48hrs. The Sea Surface Temps are very warm in this region and the Eastern Pacific is off to a busy start to the 2013 Hurricane Season. None of these early season systems pose a threat to the Baja peninsula, as they will most likely move harmlessly off into the Pacific. In Baja California the coastal areas will have temps around 70°F/22°C today while inland will heat up close to 100°/37°C. Along the Sea of Cortez look for temps around 88°F/31°C. In Baja California Sur look for temps around 90°F/32°C plus a degree or two moving south. Skies will be sunny and winds in the Sea from the west to west northwest at less than 10kts during the day, but look for stronger localized thermal winds after sunset. Enjoy your day.
