November 1, 2009
Dear
BajaInsider Subscriber:
Here
we are in the 11th month of 2009 already. The snowbirds are returning to
Baja in great numbers and we understand that Highway 1 is in great shape and
almost all the repairs have been made following our summer storms.
The
next two days are Day of the Dead here in Mexico. Today, November 1, is Dia
de los Angelitos, to remember departed children. Tomorrow is the broader
holiday for Day
of the Dead to celebrate and remember all departed. The cemeteries or
panteóns will be a popular place for families to visit, toast the departed
with cervesa and tequila and even picnic.
For
those of you interested in better health we welcome a new sponsor,
Mona Vie health
drink. Publisher James Glover gives you his personal testimony.
With
the north winds blowing early this year it certainly ends our Baja Hurricane
Season. Although the Eastern Pacific season runs through November 30th
cooler air and waters surrounding Baja have taken our peninsula out of the
threat zone until next August. Tomas Zyber takes a final season look at
2009
As
more of you head in our direction to enjoy all the Baja has to offer,
including road reports,
weather,
accommodations,
adventures and
real estate, we hope you will turn to
the BajaInsider for the best online information.
So,
without further ado, here are some of the stories appearing on the
BajaInsider...
