Happy Holidays from Baja California Sur. We are enjoying our delightful balmy winter weather in the Sea of Cortez with daytime highs in the mid to upper 70°'s with crisp cool evenings. At this time of year we do get an occasional grey day however it fortunately redeems itself by helping to create the glorious colors of the sunset at days end

I am certain there are many of you who would gladly swap your winter weather for our balmy winter climate. CostaBaja Resort & Marina would like to make that decision an easy one as they invite you to come visit this Christmas tree at CostaBajamarvelous new resort on the Sea of Cortez. Given the chance to become familiar with CostaBaja Resort & Marina and more importantly, given a chance to fall in love with La Paz and the Sea of Cortez, they know you will want to make CostaBaja a place you call home. Qualified guests can enjoy four nights at the Fiesta Inn, access to the exclusive CostaBaja Beach Club, a full day on the Sea of Cortez, a tour of the city of La Paz, lunch at the CostaBaja Beach Club, Dinner at one of the fine Marina restaurants ,and more.

Holiday lights at CostaBajaIn celebration of the holidays, the giant Christmas Tree again sparkles in the fountain area of Pueblo Marinero. Standing over 16' tall Christmas tree of garland and lights enshrouds the Cardon Cactus which usually stands watch over the courtyard and provides that extra spoonful of cheer to the patrons frequenting the marina and four fine restaurants in Pueblo Marinero. Lights twinkle along the walkways and this year some of the boats in the marina have added lights and holiday cheer. Residents, marina tenants and folks from town often enjoy an after dinner stroll along the marina promenade in the brisk evening air.

Looking west across the beautiful Bay of La Paz, Beach Club members get about 360 great sunsets a year. But around the holidays the channel markers seem to blink a brighter shade of red and green and the occasional clouds we have in the sky can paint the sunset with brilliant reds and oranges. Enjoying a fine wine from the Beach Club bar, while watching the pelicans dive into the reflective waters of the bay for their holiday treats. .

decorating the Christmas tree in Baja SurEven though we are into the Holiday period, work has continued as the show model for the spectacular recentlyreleased ocean view VistaMar community nears completion. Located abovethe beach near the new Beach Club, these new luxury residences are to begin construction early 2008. Thedecorators are hanging the fixtures and adding the final touches to the model which will allow those interested in luxury beach view living to experience just how fabulous these new additions to CostaBaja Resort living will be.

With the season, we always like to take a look back at the year gone by and take a look forward into 2008. The past year brought lots of great things to CostaBaja Resort & Marina.

BEach Side FUBAR DinerThose boating in Baja have discovered the security and convenience of the resort marina. With cable tv/internet to each slip, secure and clean Bellingham Marine docks and slip side services along with a fantastic staff, empty slips are getting rare. With the great facilities and quick access to the Sea of Cortez, it is no wonder folks have made this the most popular marina in La Paz. The marina hosted some great events during the last year as well, including the La Paz Gold Cup Black & Blue Marlin Tournament, the Governors’ Cup Rally and the FUBAR Power Yacht Rally.

Things never stop happening in Pueblo Marinero. Through the year we have seen special events for Valentines Day, Mother’s Day, Kids day, and more along with events just for the fun of it like Folkloric Dancing. The restaurants and bars in Pueblo Marinero are enjoying the increased popularity of the resort as well. On many nights classical Mexican music, flamenco guitar or soft rock entertains the guests as they dine at one of four fine restaurants.

Bar Interior at the BEach ClubOf course all the events of the year came to a grande finale last month with the opening of the CostaBaja Beach Club and the launch of Phase 2 development here at the resort. Opera and champagne turned all of us to looking forward to 2008 which will bring construction of two new communities, VistaMar Residences and Casitas and Las Colinas Hillside homes as well as the Gary Player Design golf course..
