Fall Brings Guests and Progress to CostaBaja Resort & Marina

Even the Sea Turtles are making tracks for CostaBaja as they lead up the sand in front of the beachfront villas and the Fiesta Hotel.

Fall brings wonderful weather and an increased activity at CostaBaja Resort & Marina. With the recent rains, the hillsides surrounding this beach side community are sprouting green. The gentleness of the 1.5" we received early in September also proved very beneficial to the Gary Player Signature Golf Course, currently under construction.

In mid October the temperatures break, the humidity drops and the Sea of Cortez is still warm and invites everyone to enjoy the outdoors. In addition to the increased activity of the tourists in La Paz, Baja California Sur, there is also plenty happening at Pueblo Marinero.

The lovely evenings are very conducive to any of the fine culinary options available in the Pueblo Marinero, which encompasses the inner harbor of the marina. There are three of the best restaurants in La Paz right here on the property providing a range of taste themes including; eclectic Mexican, Mexican style seafood, and the CostaBaja Beach Club. A new wine bar and a pub are scheduled to open later this fall. Also a Breeze Mart is currently remodeling a locale in Pueblo Marinero to serve the quickie mart needs of guests and residents. Sunset brings music and the sounds of laughter from residents, marina guests and locals enjoying best La Paz has to offer.

The fabulous CostaBaja Beach Club is a popular place to hang out as well. Members enjoy swimming laps in the horizon less beachside pool or offerings from the bar and dining room. The Beach Club is available to member residents and their guests and serves up some delicious foods and fine beverages right to your lounge chair or in the casual dining area. Facing into the setting fall sun, the Beach Club is a popular place for CostaBaja residents to end their day, with a sunset view that just can’t be rivaled. Looking out across the Bay of La Paz from the comfort of the luxurious Beach Club folks can absorb the true relaxation that La Paz offers, while watching for the green flash at sunset.

The Work continues at CostaBaja Resort & Marina as significant  progress is being made on the highly anticipated Gary Player Signature Golf Course on the hillsides surrounding the property. Protected plants, moved since last summer are in full foliage around the property, where they have been temporarily relocated unto the course is complete  One of the greens around the new irrigation lake is now sprouting green and can be seen when entering the property as a preview of the outstanding course soon to come.

The 18 hole, 6200 meter, par 72 Signature Course status from world-renowned Gary Player Design firm is expected to be one of the finest courses Baja California Sur has to offer. Certainly the spectacular views of the Resort and the Bay of La Paz will be unrivaled. The construction is expected to take about 18 months and the practice course is planned to open in the summer of 2009. The club house and pro shop will be located along the top of the ridge and will overlook the entire L shaped course and the Bay of La Paz.

Construction is also moving right along on the VistaMar community, phase one over looking the Ensenada de La Paz and the Bay of La Paz has neared completion of the exterior framework and now is moving into the finishing phase.

Vista Mar Oceanview luxury CondominiumsFor those folks wishing to make the La Paz lifestyle a part of their get-away, there are still some homes available in the Las Colinas community located between the 10th and 11th holes of the course. The Las Colinas community is opposite the entrance to the Resort and these hillside homes is moving right along as well. The models will soon be open to give prospective buyers a tangible example of the hillside community living. The floor plans incorporate the lifestyle of the part-time or year round residents of the Resort with open, airy design. Some floor plans offer an ability to seclude a portion of the floor plan to give visiting family or guests, as well as the home owner, a sense of independence and privacy.
