Eco-luxury Developer in Los Cabos
Tokase Properties, located in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, is an eco-luxury development company comprised of architects, designers and lifestyle specialists committed to using green practices in areas of development, and architecture for luxury homes and villas.

Steve Berman, the CEO of Tokase, has been coming to Baja Sur since 1979. He, like many, fell in love with the area and proceeded to build his own luxury, yet green and sustainable, eco-villa in el Rincon on the East Cape of Los Cabos. Steve 
explained that he had planned on living in his East Cape home, however a large development began around him and offered him too much to refuse. Currently he is designing a new home near el Tule in the Los Cabos corridor. Steve is an architect by trade with experience spanning 25 years, he has designed homes all over the world. Steve’s first son, Tosh, partner and President of Tokase, moved here permanently 2 years ago with his wife after having worked in 2001-2002 for another real estate company in Los Cabos. Tosh left Cabo in 2002 and returned to the states to work in the nightclub and restaurant business. This was a highly successful venture, being offered “more than I could have imagined” to sell. After Tosh sold out he and his father decided to join forces and create one of the finest real estate, design and development companies here in Los Cabos.
I also had a chance to meet Danette Reid the director of Marketing and Sales for Tokase. With an environmental science degree from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, her background or experience spanned many key aspects of sales and service. Her professionalism and friendly nature immediately made me comfortable. Though she has only been here a few years, her knowledge of the area was impressive.
The talented Architectural team is headed off by director Mariano Arias-Diez, who has studied and worked in places like London, Spain and New York. Assistant Architect, Katharina Kober of Austria, has experience throughout Europe, working under scholarships in Spain and Germany. Their two talents, combined with the expertise of Steve’s keen eye, is creating a unique, cutting edge design never seen before in the Los Cabos area. Their first home project in the Pedregal is already being seen as a work of art.
Tokase has seven eco luxury projects planned on ocean front properties throughout the Los Cabos area. The Tokase portfolio of planned developments include; Cabo del Este (www.cabodeleste.com.mx ), Eros, a boutique hotel on the East Cape, thE Element, a 40 unit condo project at Costa Azul in San Jose, Gaea and Gravera House, 2 eco home projects in the Pedregal of Cabo, Aquam, a community of 10 eco homes in the tourist corridor between San Jose and Cabo and on the Pacific side, north of Cabo San Lucas, Opus 91, 70 estate sized home sites.
The Tokase team is dedicated to eco-luxury living, using environmentally sound materials not only from a construction perspective, but also with all interior designs within the homes. Including unique one of a kind furnishings, organic linens and textiles to new growth wood products. Steve explained to me that if a home is designed correctly for this area there really is no need for air-conditioning and use very little water for the landscaping. The Tokase team is truly an international team of designers, architects and business administrators sharing in common vision and goals and can handle all aspects of real estate from purchase to design and sales. I myself have worked with a lot of realtors, designers and architects over my 20 years here in Baja and these people really impressed me.
