Santos, Ensenada is Mexico's second most visited port-of-call for major cruise lines and pleasure boats.
The third largest city in the state of Baja California, Ensenada is renowned for its fishing, seafood, canning and wine making industries as well as its excellent restaurants, superb shopping, ample array of services and wide variety of accommodations. In addition to sports and recreational activities, there are many fascinating attractions including historical, cultural and natural points of interest, museums and galleries, wineries and missions.

In the Valle du Guadeloupe, also known as the "Bordeaux Belt"tou of Northern Baja, you can enjoy wine tasting at L.A. Cetto, Santo Tomas, Domecq, Monte Xanic, Chateau Comou, Cavas Valmar, Vina Liceaga and Mogor Badan.

And if that's not enough, there's also an extensive calendar of events to suit every taste! Major annual international events include Carnaval (Mardi Gras), Rosarito to Ensenada Fun Bike Rides, the Newport to Ensenada Yacht Race, the San Miguel Surfing Fiesta, and world famous SCORE Baja 500 and Baja 1000 Desert Races. Culinary connoisseurs can savor the International Seafood Fair, Fiestas de la Vendimia (Grape Harvest Festival), the Mushroom Fair, Fiesta del Tequila, the Paella Festival, J.D. Hussong and Los Gordos Chili Cookoffs, San Miguel and La Misión Fiestas, and much more.

planned where the existing marinas are being expanded to accommodate larger boats and more tourist related businesses.

El Sahuaro del Mar is located only ten minutes from Ensenada. Every custom built homes has incredible views of Ensenada Bay. There are 12 styles of homes to choose from in this well planned community. Living areas have soaring ceilings, deep fireplaces and wide windows so that every room takes advantage of the views over Todos Santos and the Ensenada Peninsula.

Ventana Al Mar is a beautiful new development just north of Ensenada with houses and condos. The resort features a private beach, three glorious clubhouses, loads of amenities, walking and exercise trails, as well as an uncompromising commitment to quality, service, security, and the environment.

Playa Saldamando is a magnificent waterfront site located at the epicenter of Baja's Big Sur - an easy ninety minutes south of San Diego. There will be 220 home sites and 200 villas surrounded by 100 acres of beautiful Baja landscape.

Salsipuedes is a development in the planning stages by the respected Grupo Lagza and will have a boutique hotel and a mix of condos, homes and estate-size lots plus a commercial village with stores, cafes and restaurants. When completed, Salsipuedes will become a retirement or vacation haven of 2,680 residences and guests in the five planned village hotels.

Chapultepec is located above the city with amazing harbor views. This area is the favorite of local Ensenada families. A secure gated community with large lots and magnificent homes, there are now new homes available. A condo development is planned for early next year is now selling at pre-constructions prices.

Porto Hussong is a new marina and oceanfront condo development in the planning stage offering resort style living and full service marina.

Cibola del Mar is one of the most established communities in Ensenada and has both new homes and re-sales available. The views from here are some of the best in Enseanda and the area has long been a favorite of Americans retiring in Ensenada.

Estero Beach will be the home of a new development of oceanfront villas and condos created to protect the environment as well as offering some of the most beautiful residential beachfront living on what many consider the best beach in Baja Norte.

Punta Banda is in the planning stages to develop a new community of oceanfront lots and homes.

Many Americans are choosing Ensenada as a retirement destination and there will soon be several oceanfront condo developments as well as gated residential communities available that will offer oceanfront resort hotels, villas and houses.
