Dog Friendly Hotels in Baja

NOTE: La Pinta Hotels are now called the Desert Inns. There are six of them and they all take dogs. They are in Ensenada, San Quintín, Cataviña, Guerrero Negro, San Ignacio and Loreto. If you stop in Ensenada and purchase a Travel Pass ($158 per person before your 40% FM3 discount), you will get four nights at any Desert Inn, a free margarita, $10 off food and 50% off a future stay in Ensenada. Such a deal!

Quintas Papagayo (north of town)
California Motel & RV Park (Km 103.7 north of town)
Desert Inn (block off malecón, centro)
Hotel El Paraiso Las Palmas (Ave. Sangines)

Desert Inn (can’t miss it)
Motel Linda (across the street; clean, cheap, rustic)
Rancho Santa Ines (sparse but clean, a few minutes south)

GUERRERO NEGRO
Note: This is the state line between Baja CA and Baja CA Sur. It’s also the best place to get your tourist visa. Bring a valid birth certificate. If they’re closed, try the ferry dock at Santa Rosalía. Pay at any bank south. Set your clock ahead an hour.

SAN IGNACIO
Rice & Beans (look for the sign)
Desert Inn (follow road toward plaza)
San Ignacio Springs Bed & Breakfast (special place; reserve at www.ignaciosprings.com)

Hotel Francés (historic; on the hill)
Las Casitas (waterfront north of El Morro)
Hotel El Morro (waterfront south edge of town)

MULEGÉ
Las Casitas (in town; look for signs)
Hotel Serenidad (south of bridge; look for signs)
Brisa del Mar (on hill in town)
Cuesta Real (after Jungle Jim’s)
Orchard Village (near Cuesta)

BAHÍA CONCEPCIÓN
Hotel San Buena Ventura (the only hotel on the bay, south end)
