Charities help Kids through Sports this Holiday Season
Christmas is synonymous with giving and charitable actions…we at Baja Insider encourage the Win-Win-Win method of gifting explained in more detail here.
Christmas, Hanukah as well as other religious traditions is being celebrated at this time of year around the world. It is known as a time of good will, giving and we at the BajaIsider would like to encourage this spirit while we wish you all, a very Happy Holiday.
To begin I have a new English friend Benjamin Dawes, that is planning a walk of 1000 miles of the Baja peninsula, from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to San Diego, USA. While he is doing this for his own personal reasons, it is also to raise support for several different children’s charities in Baja, U.S.A. and the UK, as well as the promotion of peace.
Benjamin is starting his march up the Baja peninsula in March of this coming year and much planning and support is still in the works to optimize the logistics, publicity for the charities, video production, and photography to make the most of this noble effort (read as crazy British stubbornness). Benjamin has created his site www.theirshoes.org where you may see in greater detail the charities he is raising funds and general support for.
There are several ways that one can give and not all of them necessarily require money, which of course is difficult for many during this worldwide economic crisis this past year. BajaInsider would like to direct you to these charitable causes that we feel create a win-win-win situation for all concerned. The win-win-win can be from; one receiving a tax benefit, while a child is saved from cancer, is fed a good breakfast everyday in school, or given a sports opportunity that they would not normally have. There is of course the good publicity that businesses that support the cause will gain while helping the project and ultimately the children (future of humanity). I believe children are probably the best investment one can make to change the world and better the future for all.
The charities that we work with directly are Grupo Ray Thomas A.C (GART) which has the multiple sports, feeding and anti graffiti programs in Baja Sur. This foundation also is a part of an older organization founded by Ray Thomas in the U.S called Y.E.S. You can see more information here
One other way to give is to help us at www.BajaInsider.com. Baja Insider gives free content year round… you can give back to us with simply your actions and or financial support by advertising with us.
First off you can make use of our sponsors services and products and continually submit articles or information for us to make use of.
Also, please pass on the word of www.bajainsider.com or you may sign up your friend to receive our updates but they will have to confirm as we only use a double opt-in list. This means even though you submit an email to our mail sever the person wanting to receive the updates must confirm they want it again. We also never allow anyone to share or make use of our list. We do not like SPAM and therefore do not believe it sending our SPAM.
You may also to link to our many pages of content and or use the share buttons on every page in order to pass on any content via email or the worldwide social media services like Twitter, Facebook, Hi5, Myspace etc… You may also make use of our RSS feeds to your site so that you have content continually updated by us that helps both your site and ours. These are all ideas of how to give to the communities of Baja and or indirectly by reading and sharing the Baja Insider.
