Sea of Cortez Adventures with The Cortez Club

The Cortez Club in La Paz, Baja California Sur can provide you a variety of activities and adventures in La Paz and the Sea of Cortez. The Cortez Club has long been known for its outstanding dive vacations in the Sea of Cortez and is Baja California's only National Geographic PADI Five Star Gold Palm IDC Resort and Watersports Center.

Jacques Cousteau called the Sea of Cortez the ‘aquarium to the world’ and the Cortez Club has been providing visitors from around the world access to this diving and snorkeling paradise for years. But, the Cortez Club provides much more to Baja travelers than just diving, like whale watching, sailing charters and water sports. Plus, they are now providing support for the growth of the new CostaBaja Mariners Village.

The Cortez Club is renowned for its diving adventures. With the Sea of Cortez providing world class diving in warm, crystal clear waters from late spring to late fall, divers from all over the world have been their guests. With famous dive locations like El Bajo, Isla Lotes, Espiritu Santos and relatively new artificial reefs in easy striking distance from their bases in La Paz, it is easy to understand why. Their experienced staff helps each guest understand and appreciate the natural wonders that surround us here in The Sea.

Such a pretty fish!Their Mosquito Fleet sport fishing tours offer open panga trips to Espiritu Santos and El Bajo as well as the famous Cerralvo Channel fishing grounds from Bahia Muertos and Punta Arena. With the addition of a 36’ cabin cruiser charter guests now have the option a charter with more accoutrements when pursuing the game fish of the Sea of Cortez. Established in 1984, the Mosquito Fleet has been serving the La Paz Angler longer than any other sport fishing fleet in La Paz.

If you are interested in watersports Cortez Club can provide the excitement in your La Paz adventure as well. Offering wave runners, small sailboats like Hobbies and Prindles, kayaks, wind surfers, water skiing, banana boats and water bikes. The expansive Bahia de La Paz offers an outstanding playground for visitors interested in these activities. There is little to compare to the thrill of cutting across open blue green waters on a small sailing catamaran or kayaking through the jungle like mangroves of the back bays.

At the Sunset BarThe original Sunset Bar stretches out right into the Ensenada de La Paz, where you can enjoy a beautiful Baja sunset and your favorite cocktail following your day’s activities.

They look forward to seeing you at CostaBaja's Pueblo Marinero and the new Cortez Club location.
