Kayak & Whale Watch Combo

Baja Sea of Cortez Kayaking & Magdalena Bay Whale Watching Combo:

Our most popular wildlife adventure in Baja combines sea kayaking in the Sea of Cortez with whale watching in Magdalena Bay, one of the major calving lagoons for gray whales. This is the ultimate Baja trip, combining one of the most incredible wildlife encounters on the planet with the chance to experience by sea kayak the magnificent beauty of Loreto Bay National Marine Park in the Sea of Cortez. NOTE: First and last days for any Baja tour are arrival and departure days.

One of the most popular areas of Baja to explore is in charming Loreto, a former Jesuit mission town and short flight from California. From there you'll paddle a sea kayak through the turquoise waters of Loreto Bay National Marine Park in the Sea of Cortez (Gulf of California), visit desert islands, snorkel over reefs with brightly-colored fish and seek close encounters with whales. Hike an arroyo full of fascinating geology and sleep on a sandy beach beneath a star-filled sky more luminous than one could imagine. It's all up close and wild.

Sea Kayak Adventures also offers combination trips with tours of Loreto, circumnavigation of beautiful Isla Carmen, Yoga retreats and Sea Turtle expeditions. Since 1993, Sea Kayak Adventures has created a category of travel we call "camping plus". The food served on our trips is on par with what you get in a first-rate restaurant; we provide all Dan Pichettecamping gear of the best quality: tents, sleeping bags with clean linens, self-inflating foam pads and comfortable camp seats; you get the best beach sites and you don't have to worry about missing the wildlife. We're all about truly "getting away", but not quite "leaving it all behind". It's rugged adventure with some worldly amenities. And best of all, you'll receive unbeatable support and camaraderie from each of our guides.

Romon MurilloMany of the guides are from Mexico such as Ramon Murillo, a master panga captain who grew up in Loreto or Manuel Gonzalez who is just one of the Marine Biologist available as well as experienced lead guide. Other guides from around the world such as Dan Pichette, member of Association of Manual GonzalezCanadian Sea Kayak Guides are also available for trips. This is just a few of the crew.
