Professional Dive Training in La Paz

Enjoy professional dive training in one of the most beautiful dive locations in the world. The Sea of Cortez offers world class dive sites along with a five star diving resort in the Cortez Club of La Paz.

Take your scuba diving skills and certification a stage further!

It is common in many businesses to have customers ask for a discount or a cheaper price. Under the current economic climate, it is a fair and acceptable question. In my 12 years of being a dive professional, I have become tired of divers and students saying they can get their training cheaper. Many divers are convinced they don’t require more training and that they are more than suitably qualified. Through out the Scuba Diving industry you will hear of discounted and cheap training courses.

I have been training Instructors now for over 6 years and many of my instructor candi-dates arrive with the same attitude; “I am an instructor candidate, my diving does not need improving!” Many, if not all, experience a huge culture shock in their instructor train-ing.
Just imagine, do you like the idea of knowing your instructor or dive buddy got his train-ing cheap?
Cheap means inferior, lacking in quality. If you are prepared to pay peanuts then, be pre-pared to get monkeys!

Let’s face it anyone can become a Scuba Instructor or proficient diver with the right atti-tude. We can teach you how to make a career out of the scuba industry and dive safely with your friends. Not just to be another Monkey!

You will go through classroom and shallow water training. The emphasis is on perfecting existing kills and introducing newer concepts taken from cave and technical diving that will not only improve your air consumption, your buoyancy and overall appearance in the wa-ter. They course will leave you feeling accomplished, challenged and more importantly thirsty for more diving.

The most challenging course we offer is the PADI Instructor Development course. The course is available to any diver meeting the prerequisites (18 years old and to have held basic Open Water certification for over a year).

The Instructor Development Course is run over 8 days and finished with an independent 2 day evaluation from a PADI Examiner. The course prepares you for the best vocation in the World. If going diving and showing other

Here at Cortez IDC we are interested in producing confident and effective Scuba divers and Scuba Diving Professionals. With training that goes beyond the norm.

Many other training facilities will inform you of their quality and service. Well that is mean-ingless to you. You only can be sure you got quality service after the fact.

We notice many students that arrive having had their Instructors or teachers fail them. The truth about teaching is that the student never fails. The teacher simply fails to do best by the student.
Cortez IDC allows you to focus on you and your team of colleagues/divers and looks be-yond passing Instructor Evaluations.

If you think your diving is ready for the next level then we offer a number of courses that will open your eyes to how much room there is for improvement. One of these courses is called ‘Essentials of diving’. The essentials course is recognized by PADI and IANTD. It is a ‘back to basics’ course that introduces concepts and skills that will improve and refine your dive skills to way beyond what you thought possible! The essentials course is open to any diver of any experience and if by the end of the course you feel you have not accom-plished anything, we will refund your money! We can confidently say that, because your going to learn and improve your diving ten fold!

people the wonders of the underwater world sounds exciting? Then we will make it even better, by showing and equipping and giving you the tools to get paid while doing it! You will be a diving instructor. We offer a new concept in diver and vocational training. We look beyond the concept of simply certifying you and equipping you to pass an exam. We look to make you part of our family and make you prepared for a career in a wonderful industry linked with travel, adventure, con-servation and spending time at the beach!

Luke Inman PADI Instructor Trainer and IANTD Instructor Trainer.
