In a challenging year for investment and tourism not only in Baja, but world wide, the BajaInsider is taking the lead in letting the world know of the rare gem, that is the Baja California peninsula. Our magnificent peninsula offers unique opportunities for travelers, investors and those looking to relocate to Mexico and as one of the most powerful media voices in our region, the BajaInsider is taking steps to help all Baja business and organizations be heard and capture a bigger piece of the traveling, and investing public worldwide. The BajaInsider will make the traveling public more aware of what our region and businesses have to offer.

From the rugged wave lashed rock breaks of the Pacific shores to the blue green waters of the Sea of Cortez where the desert meets the tropics, the Baja Peninsula offers amazing contrasts to visitors and those looking for seasonal or year round residences in Mexico. Whether you are seeking the luxury setting of a Los Cabos resort or the rural tranquility of beach camping on the pacific coast or Sea of Cortez, the spectrum of the Baja lifestyle has something to attract people from around the world to our unique environment. From remote camping, surfing, sailing, diving and kayaking, eco-travel to luxury golfing, spas, dinning, and world class sport fishing; really “Baja is for Everyone!”

Baja embraces one of the world’s treasures, the Sea of Cortez, called the ‘aquarium to the world’ by Jacques Cousteau. Destine to become one of the great recreational regions in the world, much of the Sea remains wild and undiscovered. With protected islands and hundreds of picturesque bays and lagoons the Sea offers unparalleled boating, fishing kayaking, diving, camping and more.

The Pacific coast of Baja has an equal diversity of natural treasures from El Bufadora where the ocean shoots high into the air with each crashing wave to Laguna San Ignacio where the friendly whales interact with tourists each winter. Fishing, diving, kayaking and sailing have long been an attractions to the Baja’s more than 2000 mile, coastal region.

kayaking in BajaBaja’s pueblos and cities offer dramatic contrasts too. From the shopping, resorts and nightlife of Tijuana and Ensenada to Los Cabos, where golf and high rise luxury living are becoming the norm, to remote and tranquil villages like Puertocitos, El Triunfo, Mulege and Todos Santos which transports visitors back to a more peaceful frontier time.

This year presents greater challenges to the business of Baja and we all need to pull together to let the world know that Baja has the welcome mat out and a light in the window for those who are continuing to travel, re-locate and invest. These folks are still out there, although their numbers may be reduced from years past, we all must work that much harder to get more of them to know, enjoy and protect the Baja we know and love.

Over the last five and a half years the BajaInsider has enjoyed phenomenal growth. Propelled by our unique content and valuable information we have become one of the widest read publications in Baja, with over 200,000 visits per month to our website. We have more than 1500 pages on free information about Baja that ranks at or near the top of nearly every key search phrase. We have long taken the lead in dispelling myths and combating negative press (links Couple walking on the beach in Cabo San Lucashere) aimed at our wonderful peninsula. If you operate a Baja business, the BajaInsider reaches your potential customers worldwide, dramatically expanding the reach of your advertising dollar.

In 1977 the “I Love New York” campaign was launched to save a city with a reputation of violence, rudeness and expense in the travel destination industry. Today, New York is one of the US’s leading tourist destinations. Our “Baja is for Everyone!” campaign is designed to put Baja in the spotlight and bring a larger share of the traveling and investing public to our peninsula. We all must work together to let the world know that our region is still the friendly, exciting and diverse destination that it has always been. By making the world aware of the scope and diversity of opportunities available here, we will all benefit and weather these difficult economic times. To remain silent, slash advertising and wait for people to rediscover Baja will only lead to disaster and more difficult times.

The Goal of the “Baja is for Everyone Campaign”

A wise man once said...

Albert Einstein"Let's not pretend that things will change if we keep doing the same things. A crisis can be a real blessing to any person. For all crises bring progress.

Creativity is born from anguish, just like the day is born forms the dark night. It's in crisis that inventive is born, as well as discoveries, and big strategies.
Who overcomes crisis, overcomes himself, without getting overcome. Who blames his failure to a crisis neglects his own talent, and is more respectful to problems than to solutions. Incompetence is the true crisis.

The greatest inconvenience of people and nations is the laziness with which they attempt to find the solutions to their problems. There's no challenge without a crisis. Without challenges, life becomes a routine, a slow agony. There’s no merit without crisis. It's in the crisis where we can show the very best in us. Without a crisis, any wind becomes a tender touch. To speak about a crisis is to promote it. Not to speak about it is to exalt conformism. Let us work hard instead.

Let us stop, once and for all, the menacing crisis that represents the tragedy of not being willing to overcome it."

Albert Einstein
