List of Confirmed Damaged Vessels
This list was updated at 10/1/03
These are the vessels we have visually confirmed damage
to at this time. This is not the definitive list, many boats have already
been removed from the scene. There are at least two more sailboats at
the bottom of Marina de La Paz that can not be identified due to the
murky waters.
If you have first hand information as to location of
a damaged vessel, please forward that information to us. Since the storm
we have received more than 300 emails from concerned owners, friends
and family of boats in Baja Sur. We have received so many requests
for information on specific vessels it is now very difficult for us
to field them individually. Please check the list below.
Please note that the location of the vessel NOW may
not be where it came from originally or where the damage occurred. We
have tried to note S.V. or M.V. for common named vessels.
(*Condition comments on the vessel are only quick visual
assessments in the field or by report. Light damage could cost thousands
but does not endanger the vessels, Moderate Damage is structural, Heavy
damage is that which could lead to sinking, Severe damage may mean loss
of the vessel)
